I wanted to thank everyone for your nice sentiments. The most beautiful part of the experince for me was this:
We have a high school as most colleges do, which bears our school name and mascot. It is located just off of our cmpus. In attendance at this school are pre-school aged children. As we began our march from the steps of our auditorium, all of the teachers brought the small children out to the sidewalk. I still remember their faces as they looked at us in awe. They were waving and smiling. As we passed the school's yard, children outside at PE put their balls down and ran up to the fence to get a closer look at us. I will never forget the way that made me feel. You could just see the admiration in their faces. It was as if they were saying "Wow, I am going to be just like them when I grow up". And that brought tears to my eyes. Just the sight of those small children looking up to me, made me know in my heart that I was doing the right thing. And as was mentioned,I felt like I had alongside me the spirit of all of our ancestors who had participated in similar protests in order the pave the way for us.
I just wanted to share that with you all. Thanks again for your kind words.
