I absolutely agree with you. I'm old (!) and therefore resistant to change, but my husband finally *made* me get a cell phone because when I drive to see my family a large portion of the trip is through some pretty desolate territory. It really does make me feel more secure knowing that if anything happened I'd be able to call for help.
