My prayers are strongly with Gore winning. Funny thing is that I've been somewhat dispassionate about the candidates, although I knew all along that I'd be voting Democratic up and down. Now, I'm tense, nervous, and depressed! I stayed up til midnight and was back up at 4:30am. I'm really looking with increased anxiety at the fact that the Republicans now control both the House and the Senate-with Bush in the executive office will also be Republican...
On a side note, my experience with voting was quite challenging! In the past two elections, I've lived in predominately white voting districts in Maryland (right outside of DC). Each time that I voted, I was able to get in and out within 15-20 minutes. I live in a predominately black voting district and can I just tell you that it took every bit of an hour!
Sister was just determined to get her vote in; however, I realize that others may have been discouraged and not voted!
