Sorry to post again so soon, but....the answer is YES.

I won't sell anyone a loan without ensuring it is the best deal for them. As a broker, I can choose many banks' products, that make the best sense for the customer. I'll point out which ones make the best sense for their situation, but, the one factor I never consider is "which loan will pay me more?" I make enough on any loan regardless of circumstance to be my driving factor.

However, there are sharks out there, and I've seen many iffy deals because of "I'll get an extra .25% on this banks product" mentality.

I can honestly say, and I sincerely hope I'm not in the minority in the mortgage broker field, that I've never done a loan that in the end did NOT help my customers. I won't do it any other way for I want a good reputation in the community.
