i grew up in New York City and avoided the dreaded accent. People think that I am from Ohio. I attended a private school where they frowned upon the accent, as did my mother. I can, however, do a great impression of a New Yawkah like Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinnie.
I am usually soft spoken although I can project my voice pretty well. Many people compliment me on my voice.
