I watched it last night and didn't have much of a problem with it....
However,
1) I really wish that Lindsay's intern (or whatever you call her) had said something like "But he's black!" when they were having that conversation. Now THAT would have been realistic.
2) I don't really agree that the "mainstream media" is to blame really....they are making use of the characters on the show, and to be honest, i don't see much chemistry between Eugene and Rebecca.
3) It's just a TV show.
4) It's probably getting cancelled anyway.
In essence, I agree with amycat.
