"Pretty Girls"
Recently I noticed a flyer posted in one of the buildings at my school advertising an AKA event. After I closely scanned the flyer, I noticed that at the bottom, there was a quote in small print. As I recall (please correct me if I am wrong) the quote read, "Only Pretty Girls can wear twenty pearls!" Maybe it is just me, but I feel that by having this statement on the bottom of the flyer, the women of this chapter are promoting, rather than dispelling that imfamous, "stuck-up, elitist" stereotype, that has been penned on Alpha Kappa Alpha. What do you think?
