Hello to all the Lovely Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha!
I am not a member but I wanted to reply to this.
I pray and hope that all Black families were able to see the march. This march was very important for all to hear and see. The first 6 years of my life I had both my mother and my father. As soon as my parents broke up my relationship with my father went down hill. I went through a lot in my life and I do believe that if he was around more I wouldnt have gone through those things. In result to my father not being around I started to search for love in all the wrong places. I was trying to replace the love I missed from him. If I had my choice no one would have to go through many days and nights of crying for DADDY when he is not going to come. I have seen many men do this. I have also seen parents abandon, neglect, abuse and JUST NOT CARE for their children. AND PEOPLE WONDER WHY SOME CHILDREN ACT NEGATIVILY? If families were to stick together and raise their children this world would be such a better place. THEY ARE OUR NEXT GENERATION! Even if you and your mate are not together anymore show that you will Keep a family structure around that child. This is why I am interested in AKA. The program for black families (to me) is great! We have to let people know how important this is. If you want a better life you will agree with me!
