I just read an article about this from my hometown paper and almost cried. I went to High School with one of the guys that is being charged. I think the whole situation is horrible and I can't imagine what his family is going through b/c they are very well respected in the community.

While I don't agree that they completely thought it was harmless, one would think that they would have had a little more sence to stop when they obviously could tell that the kid was not taking well to what they were doing.
I know it's happened before, but I just cannot see how hazing can get this out of hand. I just don't get how people are unable to tell when enough is enough.
