I attend a big ten school in the midwest and my best friend attended rush, far exceeded the requirements, but was turned down with no explanation as to why. Can you shed some light on the whole issue of rush and rejection (or acceptance)?

ABSOLUTELY AND UNDENIABLY IN NO WAY AM I SAYING RANDOM ATTENDANCE OCCURS AT OUR RUSHES!!! On the west coast, there are so few women of color that would even understand our precious letters thatprobably meet the basic requirements... And interests should be walking into rush KNOWING at least the exact name of our COLORS!!!
RUSH is not the time to learn about the Sorority. RUSH is not the time to begin to meet the Sorority members. Rush is the time where you embark on one of the most memorable, life-changing and exciting times of your life--NEVER coming in and asking a chapter president her name!!!
