Always the advisor, I think we should all take a moment and share this story with our Chapters. There are number of things to be learned here:
First off, seatbelts, seatbelts, seatbelts...I know we have all probably ridden "loose" in the back of a pickup, but age, wisdom and experience tell us how unsafe that is.
Secondly, we should always err on the side of caution. The cost of a little embarrassment for something that turns out to be a minor injury or the cost of a little bad press is nothing compared to the cost of a tragic death of a member.
