Don't laugh, I'm an 80s kid!
"Crazy for You" - Madonna: major high school crush. Not saying any more. <eg>
"This Could Be the Night" -Loverboy. Senior Prom song.
"The Song Remembers When" - Trisha Yearwood. Reminds me of another great love I *thought* I had for a few years, but felt better when I dumped his cheating ass. Really spells out the contrast between wonderful memories of good times and moving on w/ your life to bigger and better things.
"Just the Way You Are" -Billy Joel First dance with my husband at our wedding.
"Somewhere in the World - Wayne Watson Father/daughter dance at my wedding. He wrote the song as a prayer for the little girl who would some day grow up and be his son's wife. I'm getting misty right now at the foresight of that....
"Crystal Ball" -Styx. The ex-wife of the guy who wrote the song is a good friend of mine. She had some family-type stories that were connected to it. (No, I'm not spilling them.) For me, hearing this song reminds me of those tangible things that were behind the "showbiz" front that musicians put on. It's like walking out of a dream and finding aspects of it are real and you can touch them. Odd feeling.
