For the sake of a point, I am going to assume it's true...

Greeks have a pretty good idea of what goes on, maybe not to the DEGREE, but if there is some form of hazing, it is NOT unknown.

This particular piece was news to me, but I wasn't shocked to see it. What DID surprise me was the fact that when I returned from New Orleans, Hubby had cut it out and placed it on the table for my son and me to read. (My son was in Baton Rouge at a fraternity party.) These boys who are going to rush aren't looking at fraternity rankings, they are ALL talking abut hazing. One argument that has been made BY A PARENT is-
If you know someone in the class ahead of you and THEY made it through compare yourself to them. Can you overcome what THEY did??? STUPID-STUPID! hank goodness they are NOT buying it!!!

These guys are the strongest rushees from this AREA. (I'm not exaggerating) It is clear to me that no matter who is considered number one, two or 17 on campus THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR IN THEIR DECISION WILL BE THE REPUTATION FOR HAZING.

If they all decide to go to a fraternity that does not haze (and I do feel there are degrees) then so be it. It will only strengthen the one they join and they will be STRONG pulls for the next year.
Sometimes there are benefits to being a big fish in a littler pond.
