A very good friend of mine who belongs to your sorority told me about a website which belongs to Kappa Phi Iota Sorority, Incorporated. Why does the format look familiar? Maybe I'm wrong and seeing things but I don't think so. It seems like they took one color from Alpha Phi Alpha and one from Alpha Kappa Alpha did a little tweeking and made their own thing. I was told that the founder tried out for AKA but was rejected so she made her own sorority. They call themselves Kappa women. And get this, they are incorporated!!!!! AKA is in my heart. I can't see myself anything else. I guess she could. Any thoughts???? Here is the website.

I usually stay away from these types of postings, (look at what this new sororotiy/fraternity is doing!) but someone (seekSimplicity or anyone else for that matter) please help me understand this. Here we have some ladies who have decided to bond in sisterhood and their love of literature. Why is that a problem? Because they chose colors that are similar to colors that other HBGLOs currently use? And what is the problem with them being incorporated? What makes you think they wanted to be/want to be AKAs? Who told you that one of the founders wanted to be an AKA, but was rejected? What if she was? I really don't understand the indignation and down right hostility that some people seem to display when someone goes off the beaten path. SeekSensation if you can't see yourself as anything but an AKA why is this group even a blip on your screen? I am truly trying to understand this y'all. Maybe I've worked too long today!!
