When I told my mom that I was joining a sorority, she was ready to disown me... In college (the same one I go to) she hated sororities, they always made fun of them and even made their own anti-sorority with greek letters spelling something obsene (she didn't remember what it spelled). She never even went to a fraternity party her entire college career... My Grandpa, mom's dad, was totally excited for me because he was tired of being the only person in our immediate family that was "Greek." He was a Sigma Nu and to this day wants me to marry one, not likely because my school doesn't have a Sigma Nu chapter... and because I don't want to marry someone just because they are in a fraternity, but that is a whole other soap box that I won't get on!!!!
