Lowery Mays,the CEO of Clear Channel,who owns many of these stations that banned the Dixie Chicks,is an old Bush family friend and a major league Bush supporter.I am not implying that the edict came down from him but I do think it is an interesting coincidence and wouldn't be surprised if he had a hand in it at all.Having said that,I will also say I could not possibly care less about the Dixie Chicks.Natalie Maines sounds like she is perpetually whining.I will also add that I am a line straddling Independant who votes along whatever party line can do the best for me. By the way,one reporter did try to make a big issue of the Pearl Jam concert by saying that several dozen people left in disgust when he impaled the mask.It happened in an arena that holds 18,000 people.THe incident in question was an encore song.So basically a few dozen people out of at least 12,000 may or may not have left at the encore.It may have been because of the mask impalement or it may have been because it was the encore.Who knows.
ZTA BULLWINKLE: I do understand why you were angry about the protestors .How many people in Norfolk are employed by the Navy?That does sort of seem like biting the hand that feeds you.
