We are blessed that we live in a country where we have Free Speech. But I was FURIOUS when I saw the group of war protestors in Norfolk at the start of the war. How dare they!

Let me comment further about this. ( i knew someone was going to say something!!!!

) I understand that they have a right to protest about the war. Protest all you want. I just find it a slap in the face that they did it in Norfolk! I just drove by, rolled my eyes, and said some not so nice things under my breath.
Not to get away from the topic (YET AGAIN) but my father served in the Navy for 28 years, on submarines during the Cold War. For those of you who don't understand why I am wording it that way, PM me and I will explain...I spent most of the Gulf War in the hospital with the fear he was going to leave. (Luckily he didn't.) A lot of brave Americans fought for that right to free speech. They most certainly had a right to protest. Yes they did. I was just angry that they did it in the same city that is SO DEPENDENT on the military to survive....THAT is what angered me enough to say "How dare they!"
The thing that really made me chuckle...they were protesting in front of the Norfolk City Jail.

But they did have the right to protest all they wanted!!!
Now, we return you to back to the Dixie Chicks discussion!
