The Beta Chapter of Delta Tau Delta at Ohio University was chartered on June 21, 1862 and has been in continuous operation ever since.
Contrary to what Tom Earp says, I was not a Founding Father.
It is the oldest continously active chapter in the Fraternity, although not the oldest fraternity on the O.U. campus.
This has been edited to change the original date from 1861 to 1862 -- Have no idea why I typed 1861 the first time.
