First off WELCOME!!!!! I am not a member but I am a resident of Maryland and have been for sometime now. Poplife was correct about the rents, they do vary mainly because of the MD/DC/VA triangle. Many people choose to commute from MD or VA because traffic is murder. I suggest that you consider that. The metro system is constantly improving and one of the improvements has been making it easier and cheaper to park and ride. There is also www.southernmanagement.com. I have a relative who is an employee with southern and I can ask her if there are any vacancies or to run a search for you if you want. DC is becoming increasingly expensive with the expansion of the metro system. Many of the areas around Howard and Downtown are being bought quickly and the rents are going up. I don't know if you also plan to go to school while working but many apartments offer discounts to students. You basically have alot of options.

Sisterfriend I hope you are able to find what you need. The triangle is a cool place to be. I came from NY so it was a nice change from the hustle and bustle. If you need any help feel free to e-mail me
