Moving to D.C.

I have just taken a new job in Washington, D.C. and now I'm searching for an apartment. Any ideas on where I should look for decent housing? And what does rent for a one bedroom usually run? All ideas are appreciated and if you know of someone renting an apartment please let me know! Thank you sorors!
