My turn...
The fact that I can put folk in check who disrespect my house and I can throw 'em out and say, THIS IS MY HOUSE, DAGNABBIT!, knowing the deed to the house has my name on it. Likewise to kids who like to cut through my yard, I can say, Get yo' butt off my proppatay (read: property).
Side note: when I first moved in my house, I took the theme song to WOSU's talk show called "Open Line" and sang, Livin' in my house, oh yeah, it's my house and I live here (repeat). Iiiiiiit's my houuuuuse, aaaaand I liiiiiiive heahhhhhh, oh yeah now, oh yeah now.
Other things:
The phone rings and I know it's for me (as opposed to me playing secretary for someone else).
I can watch any movie I want to without having to resort to the old "push-button deception" trick, if you know what I mean.
Having guests come over any time I want.
Coming in as late as I want.
STREAKING!! *hee hee*
Blasting game show theme songs (and 80s music) on full volume till 2 and 3 in the morning with me dancing like crazy and no one can complain.
Leaving sound bites to TV game shows on my voice mail.
More later
