Dang! I feel like a real loser now! I didn't think about the person returning to McDonald's to look for the purse. I guess it would be nice to find their cash still in their purse...I suppose I have to change my "final" answer to A. SkeeBunny, you brought up a point that I recently discussed with a friend of mine. I totally believe in reaping what you sew, and what goes around comes around...but what if the person who lost the purse is actually a horrible person who stole her grandmother's social security check and cashed it (thus the money in the purse) and her "come around" is losing the money (it would serve her right). Now, I did a wonderful, unselfish deed a couple of days prior and I have been looking for ways to come up with money so that I may visit my sick auntie Sue.....I walk into McDonalds and there (like a blessing in disguise) the purse is waiting for me.
I know this is a far-fetched way of looking at it, but would it still be wrong for me to take the money? If the thief gets it back, it's unlikely that she would give the money back to grandma. Just curious.
