Theta Phi Alpha is one of the smallest National sororities but is one of the fastest growing sororities. As for being generally on smaller campuses that is true, but we do have some on bigger campuses. I think a lot of this has to do with being well known. If one of the smaller National sororities was on a campus with Delta Delta Delta, Chi Omega, Phi Mu, Pi Beta Phi, Delta Gamma, or any others, we would lack in numbers since majority of the women going through recruitment look at the bigger sororities rather than the smaller ones. On my campus, we have four national sororities; they are Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Phi Epsilon, Phi Sigma Sigma, and Theta Phi Alpha. All of which are on the smaller spectrum of National Sororities.
As for expansion, if you are interested in finding out more about Theta Phi Alpha please private message me and I can give you the Director of Expansion's e-mail address.
I hope all of this information is helpful. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
