Thumbs up I'm a Sims Vet...

Hey,

I’ve got every Sims game including the version on PS2. The only one I don’t have is the Sims Online. Some things that have helped keep my Sims happy is one, keeping the house clean, that 10 bucks an hour for the maid is worth it because if you don’t tell your Sims to make the bed, wash the dishes, etc, they’ll just let the house get dirty and a dirty house decreases their mood. But make sure there’s enough money to pay the maid, because she’ll take something if the funds are low and it’ll take about five or six Sim days before another maid will come back. If you have flowers outside, hire a gardener. Their mood bar can come down the minute they walk outside of the house because the flowers have died. Not good if you’re trying to get one of your Sims promoted.
Also, try to keep your Sims as social as possible, even if you make them talk to each other once. If the social bar gets too low, they get real depressed and it’s a little hard to make them happy again.

A site to check out for more tips is: http://thesims.ea.com/

You can PM me if you have more questions. Once you get the hang of it, the game is extremely addictive. I’ve pulled several all-nighters because I lost track of time playing the game. Have fun!
