For national GLOs/BGLOs:
At the school where you are considering rushing, you can ask the Panhellenic or Greek Life office for an average cost to join. Most can provide a breakdown by semester and even sometimes by organization.
(At U.Texas, each rushee is given dues information for each chapter at the beginning of rush, so that she can make her decision based on that if necessary)
One thing to remember: dues are usually higher the semester you pledge, and then significantly decrease in the following years. Also, if the sorority you pledge has a chapter house, your dues will be lower while you are living in the house... although you will be paying room & board. Room & board in the house is almost always comparable to on-campus housing.
