Soror Appears in Jet
I know you have seen the picture of our soror, Mayor Yvonne Beals in Jet Magazine!! (I think Little Romeo is on the cover)
As a candidate she received the most votes in the city's election history, is the youngest candidate to be elected for a city council position, and is the first African-American female mayor of Pittsburg (which is located near the Bay Area). Our soror joined us for our public meeting at the Western Regional Conference in San Jose.
