I think you're getting the wrong idea about all this. It's not like buying a car, you don't pay a lump sum. It's more than that. The costs of just getting in are disclosed by any chapter your interested in. All the fees, dues, or whatever else is different from chapter to chapter. You have to go to the sorority your interested in joining and ask them, they will gladly answer. Also, there are organizations that may not have dues and thus are free.
