Unhappy

Sorors let me just say this. I was watching BET last night with Tavis. He had on two of the women suing NY. One is senior at Howard U. She is articulate, respectable looking etc. The other sister is a mother, also respectable looking and articulate. Between all the posts I can't remember who said what but I do know one thing. When I saw the news and videos - I cried. Compromising position? They were in the park seeing the parade! That newlywed couple - same deal. NO woman asks to be assulted or raped. What she was wearing is a mute point. These "men" pulled womens tops off, tried to wrip their shorts off and put their hands down sister's pants! Some of these criminals were on 17! Let's not get caught up in what they were wearing or how they looked. These women are changed FOREVER. They could have been our mother, sister, cousin, daughter or soror or even our personal selves. When is our society (folks of color) going to get back to respecting women? When are we going to get back to respecting ourselves?
