Diva_56 i agree with you, excuses and scripted insincere apologies don't bring back lives just fyi for the NYPD and LAPD on the subject of excessive force/shootings etc. and i feel more compassion for the victims (half naked or fully dressed) then for their attackers with regards to the central park assaults. i'm sick of excuses, no it is not good to generalize, but i have seen enough to know that there is an overwhelming amount of wrong doing done by those who are called to protect and serve us (the police). yes some police are wonderful (no doubt), but many abuse their authority. some women do lack modesty, but that does not give anyone the right to touch, rip or pull their clothes off. as far as Compromising Position goes you could wear a business suit or a dress down to your ankles and get raped or attacked, called out of your name etc. because some sicko thought you looked to provocative. Most women who are attacked or raped do not walk around half naked how dare someone sit on their throne and say that someone who is sexually attacked somehow put themselves in a compromising position . Someone you love or perhaps yourself may be the victim oneday is that what you will tell them that they put them selves in that position, that is the ugliest thing i've ever heard . perhaps the reason some officers didn't assist these women was because they found it amusing or perhaps they felt the women attacked were not worthy of respect, people tend to bring their prejudices to work with them, we all do, but i don't carry a gun, or make public policies. things will change, but probably not until this epidemic of unjustified shootings, attacks etc. effect the white community in a larger number, how sad
