This Convention has been a very interesting one. I'm a registered Democrat but personally, Al Gore hasn't impressed me yet. I really think he's sleeping on George W. Bush. Those 8 years in the White House don't mean a lot to people. He has to come out and get from under President Clinton's shadow. And also I don't think it helps him that Clinton is publicly bashing George W. Clinton has done enough. I mean besides his sexual escapades he's been a good President. His only mistake was that he got caught. Y'all know that President's have been doing this kinda stuff since Jesus was a child.
Anway, I've been checking out the Convention. Did anyone see Tavis Smiley ( my frat YO-YO) show last night? He had Condaleeza Rice and other blacks that have spoken at the convention. I do think that it's time for a change in this county. I usually vote independently. But this show that the Republicans have been putting on is making me ill. I mean they are overdosing on it. If they are sincere, I think that they're just making the mistake of trying to show it. At the same time, it's like it's all a show. Can you feel me. And yeah all of these prominent blacks are making great speeches. Colin Powell is a role model for all Americans. But I must ask you to take a look at how many African Americans are actually delegates. Like 4% I think. Well those are my thoughts. George W. speaks tonight and I'll be tuned in. And my scrutiny and criticisms are not reserved only for Republicans. When the Democrats get together in LA i'll be tuned in to that also. And already, I have a question. I mean I heard this thing was gonna be a star studded affair. Why? I don't wanna see some movie star on tv pretending to be a soon to be unwed father who's struggling to put himself through college. Can you feel me? I heard all the stars are coming out for that one. That's probably why LA is the venue.
