I think this 'rush slogan' is terrible. Is there something your greek council can do about it? This might sound kind of silly, but I was totally inspired by the speaker who spoke to all our Greeks this past Monday. Those rush shirts not only make that particular fraternity look bad (even though they don't seem to realize it) but it has a negative impact on ALL GREEKS as well.
The example our guest speaker gave us went something like this:
He was standing in line at a grocery store and was behind two other people. The woman in front of him was talking to another woman that went to the store with her, pointed to the shirt a guy was wearing in front of her and said "THAT is why I would never allow my son to join a fraternity!" The back of the guy's shirt in the front of the line had a negative connotation towards women with a "RUSH XYZ" in bold print on the back as well.
So even though they may think their t-shirt is "cool".. I would hope the Greek Council or Greek Advisor highly discourage it.
