Try the TV test
When you start thinking about stealing something ("to show your love" for the chapter), please also think about how it would look on TV (especially MTV).
Would it enhance your campus position with the IFC, dean, pres, trustees?
Will it help you attract more good members, if you showed the video of the theft on the campus TV the week of rush?
If you want to have fun, have a party.
