I like eminem. I haven't heard his whole CD, but the songs that get play on the radio, I love. He's not quite gangsta. I think he used to be underground (not sure). He is a different type of rapper. And like he said, "...most of these critics can't even stomach me, let alone stand me..."
On another subject.....
Why does everyone say "nasty" when they talk about female rappers. I admit I like Lil' Kim and Trina amongst others. And their lyrics may be very (sexually) explicit, but are they really that different (more offensive) from what male rappers are saying. You never hear anyone saying that about male rappers whose lyrics are just as explicit. However, like someone said before "It's all about the BENJIs."
You will hardly ever catch the "nasty" versions of any of these songs played on the radio. They clean them up pretty nicely. Most people don't know anything but the radio versions of these songs anyway.
