Just imagine GC as Instant Relay Chat and each forum is a channel and every time you post a topic, your "chatting". You can jump form channel to channel and you can PM anyone.

Yeah, it was like one big chatroom, but in DOS. Real-time. And remember how if someone PM'd you, their name would be in asterisks??? I remember I didn't know how to do it, and I'd be sending what I thought were private messages to the whole room. It was a trip!! But it was SOOOOOO addictive!!!
