When Neutrogena's cosmetics line first came out, I noticed that the television and magazine ads always featured a white actress or model. That was my clue that it probably wasn't formulated for us. So, I tried the testers in the store on my wrist (inside and out), and it was awful.
The same held true for Oil of Olay, although the nail lacquer comes in several good shades. I did buy a couple of those.
Fashion Fair does work well. I'm into Clinique right now (facial cleansers and cosmetics) and loving it.
