I am interested in joining an undergraduate Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. The university I attend doesn't have a chapter, but I would be able to join city-wide chapter. Here is my problem, the chapter is quite small, and only one member attends my university. The chapter also doesn't have many events open to the public.
I was wondering if anyone had any advice to give me as to how to meet more members. I am "qualified" as far as GPA and community service is concerned, but I was told that members will only vote for someone if they KNOW the person; that the basic requirements won't suffice if the members don't know you.
