I would also like to know the advantages that we (African Americans) have received because of war. History has shown that the United States has always had an underlined motive for getting involved in foreign policy and it usually has to do with the rich natural resources that another country has and the U.S. wants to get their greedy capitalist hands on. For example, even the great emancipator, Abraham Lincoln, didn't free all of the slaves what about those bordering states: Delaware, Maryland, Kentucky, and Missouri that didn't secede from the Union. Those slaves remained slaves until much later. If he really was for our people then good ole Abe would have granted freedom to all slaves living in the United States and its territories. Then you can talk about treatment in the military during Jim Crow and segregation during the two major World Wars. Don't tell me that we gained a lot of advantages from war. I sorry but I have to agree with Sorhor Ninjapoodle because "war does suck." Those young men and women don't have to be over in the Middle East, the old Persian Empire (Iraq and Iran), or the Near East Asia for causes that the 43 President select believes are right because I'm not and a lot of other people are not accepting his a reasons for sending them into an ambush or a blood bath.
