MISINFORMED

I AM POSTING BECAUSE FOR ONE I AM IN SUPPORT OF THE WAR.

Two-I feel that many of you are misinformed as to what this war is all about? Have you been watching the news (particularly a reliable source such as CNN, MSNBC)?

This war isn't based on September 11th. This is to overthrow Saddam's authority and to the free the people of Iraq. Also, to fix our deal involving the oil.

For those who insist on closing there eyes to helping others who can't help themselves. And true they cannot help themselves because speaking against Arab government is punishable by torchure and death. How dare you say help ourselves before helping others-ever heard the term it is better to give than to receive. Not helping those people will only backfire against us.

Keep your friends close but your enemies even closer, why? Because when push comes to shove they will wonder where were you when my family was starving, where were you when my son-in-law killed my daughter for not being the wife he wanted, where were you when men beat me for refusing to be inferior, and where were you when my president had my daddy killed for wanting to believe in christianity.

Like it or not America has the superior military force in many cases. Those people shall not be punished because they happened to be born in the wrong place, what about those who were slaves in our country years ago-what if no WHITE person ever stepped out to help and said there just N* we need to worry about ourself and make sure we have a good harvest this year.

Someone helped us, why not help others?

America has not forgotten Bin Laden. And Bin Laden isn't the only threat to America at this time. We have Bin Laden, Al Queda, North Korea, and several others who would love to get into the Americans butt right now.

The Gulf War began with Bush's father. Many seem to think he's taking in on what has not been completed at that time. This could be true. Regardless, those things that should have been settled then were overlooked and now is the time to fix them. Who wouldn't defend there parent's honor? However, this goes beyond that.

For those who are questioning what if we lose? I have prayed that this isn't another Vietnam War. But if you think like a loser, you will never be a winner. And if you never fight for what you want, you will never get it-no one is going to hand anyone anything regardless of what it's concerning. Being born and having life isn't even free and neither is death.

However, yes we are losing too many soldiers. Many are mistakes of our own part. These are parents, children, aunts, uncles, spouses, and grandparents. However, joining the military especially as an infantryman you know that the job is front line in the act of war. Therefore, those people have decided on those particular jobs. I have friends who are overseas, and a love who is 101st soon to be on the way probably so I can see all points of view. I definately wouldn't want to lose anyone, but we have talked about this and I accept the fact that he will have died for something he believes in if that happens.

However this is getting lengthy so I'm going to close with this. Bush is President. Our country elected him. Fair or not, he won. As the representation of this country and under his leadership he should be the ultimate example of a leader as the highest ranking man in the country. Bush backed himself into a corner and was forced to fight himself out of it. As a President once you give your word it is of the upmost essence never to go back against it. Showing weakness let's the world know that they can do whatever. We as the people will never truly know unless he writes it in a journal and they publish it after his death whats going on in his mind right now. We just need to have faith that our soldiers will return home safely. And that this war will resolve in a manner that it is best for all parties involved. Here in the US we generally only get the side that OUR media shows us. We aren't able to see the other opinions unless you have that kind of access. This war has already started, nothing can change what has happened already. All I can say is no matter what we will have a difference in opinions. But regardless of what each individual has to say our President has made his decision and until something is done in relation to that we are saying those men who have died, died for what? (Nothing? Explain that to the family members) Those soldiers who have surrender-have betrayed there countries for what? (To have them and there families put to death for disgrace? Explain that to a six-year old boy). Saddam and Bush are both refusing to stepdown. But sooner or later we'll all find out whether this was for the good or bad.
