MSKKG, you are right.
As a Floridian who used an "outdated" machine to cast my vote in the 2000 election, I can tell you it was not difficult. It was the first time I had ever voted too, as I missed the age cutoff by two weeks for the 1996 election.
At some point, you have to accept responsibility for your vote. If you are confused on what to do, ask a poll worker. After all, that is what poll workers are there for anyway.
