hoosier and Deltalum, I read with interest the writing of this Gentleman from Tufts.
I had and e-m from one of the sites that keep me updated and was a different scenario from what was printed here. It was saying that the Greeks were basically all at fault fot the demise little by little at the School!
If one looks at the bigger picture,
School cost go up along with the cost of living, it is a luxuiory for people to join Greek Orgs. I know at my Chapter, all or at least most of the Brothers have part time jobs.
Summer jobs are not tahat available paying well to cover the cost it takes for these kids to go to school and have their sound system, computor, car, cell phone, and tv.
I am encompassing two of the three posters here who did not have all of the frillies, bells and whistles that the kids today are used to growing up with.
The new house we are planning on building in teh Fall of this year will have suites with all of the plug ins, just tor try and recruit New Assoc. members!
Here in lies the problem of getting new members, they do not want dorm bed rooms, gang showeres, or a central meeting romm to just relax and watch TV on a Sun. afternoon!
After what hoosier listed, I am going to copy it and post it to my Chapter and some of the Brothers of other chapters so that they may pass it along!
Hoosier, thank you for posting this!
