If you're using Micro$haft Internet Exploiter, go to 'Tools' then select 'Internet Options'. On the window that pops up, in the 'General' tab, there is a section that allow you to clear the history cache and how long you can set the history cache before it's purged.
Yes, it's gross... I had it happen to my mother when she let the son of a close family friend stay at our apartment (this is when I was living in Oklahoma and before I moved back to Texas). Sure enough, it didn't take long for him to jump on the porn sites, including some of very questionable taste. What was worse was some of these sites were notorious for hijacking browser settings and the viruses and phone dialer sh*t they left on the system was even worse. After he moved out, it took me a while to clean the computer out of all that junk.
