I have disaffiliated due mainly to finances, but also due to a lack or response from Nationals. I still believe in what my chapter stood for, but I didn't feel that I wanted to go on status because I didn't care for Nationals new rules and the way my chapter has changed for the worse. they are so anti-hazing and the new girls were very disrespectful. I felt that as a junior and being on exec that I would get somerespect because when I joined the house(WE WERE NOT HAZED) my pledge class respected the upperclassmen very much, and though it wasn't forced it was understood that the upperclassmen got to sit on the couches and they would get to go in line first for food etc. I always thought that was fair.I don't expect them to bow down to me, but they should still respect sisters thathave been in the house longer; just like we should respect alum! BUt now that is considered hazing by nationals and thus we have new girls w/o morals etc in our house. I was embarressed to be a memberof my chapter due to certain members. I decided that I could bitch as much as I want, but thatwasn't going to do anything so the best thing for me to do was get out.
