I haven't posted in awhile because I've been up to my ears in Greek Assessment stuff and I probably won't be around because I'll be planning my big sis (that's right Theta'sBig Sis) the best darn Bridal Shower ever! But of course I have an opinion on all that's going on and I'll be back soon.
These articles made me cry but I think it was good to show how the victims are just like us....

I also found a message board from Wafb's website
....amen sister is all i have to say First, I applaud the decision to have Cpl Kelly conduct the briefing. Cpl Kelly is articulate, personable and treated the subject as well as the public with respect. Mercifully, he is not in the least bit annoying or condescending.

Second, although the investigation into Ms Yoder's disappearance is still in the early stages, I appreciate the efforts on behalf of the press to provide as much timely and reasonably accurate information as possible. They have recognized the urgency of the public's need and right to know. Likewise, the pressure the university has begun to apply is most welcome and will benefit not just the campus but the community at large. I am especially grateful for the question Paul Gates asked of Ms Godawa today, "With all due respect, how can you feel comfortable with this investigation ?" How, indeed ! Kudos to Mr Gates for asking the question all of South Louisiana wants to know. If the situation were not so deadly seriously it would have been almost amusing to see how abruptly the press conference ended after that question was asked and then evaded.

Lastly, I would like to know the answer to a couple of questions that were not asked today. If the police department will not or can not say whether Ms Yoder's (alleged) abductor entered or exited by the front or back door, and since we apparently know the back door was found open, was the front door locked or unlocked when Ms Yoder's boyfriend or the police department arrived at the house ? Monday was an ugly, rainy day, not at all the kind of day one would leave a door open, certainly not after dark. We're told there was no sign of forced entry, we see CSI first dusting the front door presumably for prints, then we see the front door removed and taken to the crime lab. It does not appear the same degree of attention was given to the open backdoor. Why not ?

The press and the public has given the "Multi-agency Task Force" sufficient time and space to go about their work. Now the time has come for them to produce solid results. No more protecting their turf, no more insulting responses. If they cannot do the job then get someone who can. It is unconscionable to learn that John Douglas was in this city in recent weeks but was not consulted. Mr Douglas and Dr Robert Keppel are two renown investigators who have had real success in tracking down serial killers. Both have said they would be happy to assist yet neither have been consulted.
