The promised details...
I lent my car to my husband last week. When he came home on Thursday and parked the car, he didn't close the door all the way, so the courtesy light stayed on. So, naturally, this morning when I had to drive to work, I found that the battery was completely flat. Completely. Zero charge.
My husband had just left for work a few minutes earlier, so I tried to get him to come back and jump start my car (since he was responsible, and all). Called his cell phone - no answer. Paged him - no answer. Turns out he'd turned his cell phone off and left his pager at home so that he could drive to work in peace.
I finally did get the car jumped and got to work only an hour and a half late. "Only" ... I'm paid hourly.
Kevlar, my husband's idea of car maintenance is: call the mechanic. Did I mention he has 2 degrees in mechanical engineering??
LuaBlanca, sorry about your car. That's a little worse than a flat battery
