Thank you guys SOOO much for all your help, I have definitely appreciated the PM's and the information here. I think we're going to use the "strawberry bash" idea and try to incorporate that as a sideline with a skit. As a chapter, we have never done a skit night and had no idea that such a thing was common or even really existed till I started poking around on GC. But it definitely sounds like something we can and should do!
We still haven't quite figured out what to do for the first rotational yet, but I know it'll be mostly chit-chatting and showing them all our stuff and talking. I have gotten quite a few good ideas on questions to ask. (Thank you ALL!) The second rotational we plan on doing the skit thing and for preference, probably making mocktails. We did this last year and it seemed to work out all right so hopefully it will go well again this year...hopefully. It gives us time to spend more closely with the girls as a couple of us huddle around a blender with them, mix ingredients and of course, not follow the recipe and end up with either a really good mocktail or some really strange concoction...
We have a very busy first week back at school, starting April 6th, and I know that I'm asking a lot more of our membership during that week than we have ever done before so hopefully it will go alright. I just hope I don't stress out our membership too much so that they aren't happy and enthusiastic for the events.
I wish our membership understood the formal stuff a little better though, we only have one or two members that participated in formal rush the rest of us were COB. That's the way it's always been but hopefully with all this hard work we can change some of that!
