We had a Beta Colony fail last year, and it wasn't for lack of trying. They had a great counselor out here for most of the semester and he worked his ass off. What it comes down to is the stigma any of those orgs may have had if they ever left campus. Beta here was hurt by how they left...it was VERY messy. I agree, look to the surrounding area, how much support will they have? My one problem with that it that then favors the big nat'l fraternites and in someways discounts the smaller ones. Look at the guys that this is trying to attract, what are they into, what kind men are they? If they are hesitant, the DU could be a great option.
