I do know that Miss Vermont in 2000 or 2001 - Katy Johnson is a Tri Delta from Stetson University (where I went to school). She actually moved out of Florida to Vermont, because her chances of going to Miss USA (I think) were better in Vermont than in Florida. Katy J was the girl that tripped down the stairs. Her nick-name in Tri-Delta was Barbie, for obvious reasons.
It was cool to see someone you knew on stage at Miss USA, even if she didn't make it that far in the competition.
