Greetings Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Sisterfriends. I have to say, that article broke my heart.
I must admit that I never understood why one would want to join an auxillary organization. I always felt like they were just doormats for their frat brothers. But the young woman made a point about being a freshman and being naive. I must admit most ladies join an auxillary organization during their freshman year (at least when I was in school). Many of them don't forsee the effect this may have on them later down the road.
What really disheartens me is the fact that her isolation and despair shine through that letter. I really hope she is in a better place now.
Thank you Diva_56 for allowing me to see another side of this situation. I guess now those who are interested in an auxillary organization can make an in nformed decision.
