i was delta at UMBC and i loved the rush table. the way i did it was draped the flag across the top and down the front. had a "science fair" board with good pictures of us doing stuff like hanging out, collecting food, two girls making out from spring break whatever might appiel to people. then flyers with rush schedule to hand out. also the rights of an associate for people to read. the paedegogus, either opened to the map of the chapters or famous alumni. had purple, green, and gold mardi gras beeds b/c that can't be a coincidence ;-) a nice paddle, maybe a class paddle that someone made that was nice. and ofcourse a sign up/contact sheet. picture albums are good to have around so people can see what they are missing. awards help but most people dont know what are awards mean.
also for like big org fair days we had a TV/VCR that played our white rose vidoes from around 98 to present. in the past the had big wooden boards in a semi circle behind the table tha had big wooden letters on it and would hang awards, composites, jersies of guys who are in club or varsity sports and stuff like that.
the biggest thing to remember with a table and i can't stress this enough, is it is a tool to help you show someone what the fraternity is about. that mean dont sit at it, stand up, walk up to people and bring them back to the table to help in conversation. visual things halp continue the conversation when it starts to die. be proactive, don't expect people to walk up to it and ask question, i dont mean this wont happen just dont bank everything on it. seeing 20 guys in letters circling a table might be intimidating for someone.
