Yeah, which is why the producers get to pick. You can't have anything like soap, clothing, food, or most toiletries. I think one person had makeup one time (like I'd want to wear foundation in 100+'F heat!!!), and Mama Kim had her paints in Africa, but I doubt you'd see paints again! Same with *huge* flags like Colby's flag... Paschal's (I think it was him) American flag was more of a 4x6' size, not that you could really use it as a tarp or anything. For all I know, they may have said "you can't use it as a tarp or for shelter, or we'll take it away."

Journals, teddy bears, hats, musical instruments, sports stuff... that's the kind of stuff most people get to take with them.
